Vivo Y600i Launches With 8,000mAh Battery and IP69 Rating

Vivo has quietly added the Y600i to its Y600 lineup in China, joining the Y600 Turbo and Y600 Pro. The phone pairs an 8,000mAh battery with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, targeting buyers who prioritize endurance and durability over raw performance.

Specs and Performance

The Y600i runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD. The 6.87-inch LCD display supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

The 8,000mAh battery charges at 44W, and vivo claims the cell retains at least 80% capacity after 1,500 charge cycles. Vivo quotes up to 25 hours of short-video playback and 16 hours of continuous navigation on a single charge.

Camera and Durability

The rear camera is a 50MP unit with autofocus, paired with an 8MP front camera. Durability features include IP68 and IP69 ratings plus SGS five-star drop resistance certification.

The Y600i launches in China on September 30 at CNY 1,699 (~$255) for the 6GB/128GB variant and CNY 1,999 (~$300) for 6GB/256GB. It comes in Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Stardust.
